 Toddler Program

Shamoun Early Learning Center LLC Toddler Program:

SELC offers a unique opportunity for children to interact with other children in a structured, yet fun and stimulating environment with highly qualified instructors.

TODDLER PROGRAM

As a small center, we offer one class with a maximum of 5 children permitted to attend at one time. Children between the ages of 2 and 4 are welcome to attend our Toddler Program. This service is available to all families in the Elmont, Franklin Square, Floral Park, Stewart Manor, and neighboring communities.

The Facility:

SELC Space

Our center is a small and colorful facility, about 320 square feet in size. There is a large handicapped-accessible bathroom with provisions for changing young ones in diapers.

Our Services:

Family members will meet with the Director of the program to discuss their child's needs prior to the child entering the program. In addition to offering the traditional services children receive in nursery school, the staff at our Center are trained to assist in skill development in the following areas: self-help skills (such as toilet training), communication, play skills, and imitation skills. Our Center offers a structured and fun environment for exploring and learning.

The Typical Day:

When the children arrive at the Center, they will start their day by listening to music and choosing a table-top activity. After everyone arrives, the children sing songs, learn about the weather, and learn about sharing during a show-and-tell activity. The children then proceed to engage in a variety of fun activities, such as: music, dance, art, movement, snack, and story time. Flexibility is provided within the daily rituals where needed to meet the individual needs of each of the children.

Daily Activities will include:
Morning Greeting
Centers (puzzles, blocks, explorations, etc)
Story Time (picture books)
Movement (exercise)
Music (exploration of instruments)
Snack Time
Art (projects to be given to parents)
Music and Games (matching, ball play, parachute, etc)
