With the use of assessment tools, such as The Assessment of Basic Language and Leaner Skills (ABLLS), a curriculum is developed that is tailored to the needs of each child.
-An individualized program will be written for each learner, which will be a collaborative effort with each child’s parents.
-A comprehensive list of goals and objectives, in a variety of all skill areas, will be provided to each child’s parents.
Trained instructors, who are supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst™, implement the programs that have been written for each child. The instructors are well-trained in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and are either certified as an Associate Behavior Analyst or working towards their certification. All materials required for implementation of the targeted programs are provided by the center.
Each child’s home-based program is supervised by a program specialist, who has a master’s degree in Psychology or Special Education. The supervision involves observation, on-going staff training, conducting team meetings, and writing supervision notes, progress reports, and preparing IEP objectives. Functional Behavioral Assessments and/or Functional Analyses are conducted by the Program Specialist with assistance as needed by a consultant. Behavior Intervention Plans are prepared by the Program Specialist, with assistance from a consultant.
